Theater
has been a great part of my life since I was a little girl. Yet, God’s calling
led me to a career as an educator. Throughout my professional journey, I
have had the privilege of being actively involved in theater as an actor,
director, writer, and producer. I have a degree in Economics from UCI
where I also studied Theater Arts. My love for teaching led me to Biola University
where I received my Master’s in Applied Linguistics. Currently, I work as
Adjunct Professor with Rossier School of Education at USC where I teach in the
Master’s Program.
My acting experience includes appearing in theater productions such as The 10th Muse, Ulysses Come Home , Midas has Donkey Ears (all performed in Armstrong theater, Los Angeles), Antigone (performed at UCI), The House of Bernarda Alba, Twelfth Night, and the original production of A Greek Wedding.
My experience as a director and writer include a series of short scenes featured at UCI Playwright’s Workshop, and the one-act play The Story of Joseph performed by elementary school students at Bethesda Christian University. I also produced and directed The Wall performed by a group of international students at Biola University.
Even though I have enjoyed every moment of my journey in theater, the greatest blessing has been my involvement with Alethia Christian Theater. I am looking forward to working more closely with our actors in the Master’s class and discovering together the wonderful talents our Lord has so freely distributed.
