Ryan has enjoyed being a part of several Alethia shows. He directed their productions of Pride and Prejudice, Up the Down Staircase, Right You Are, If You Think You Are and Treasure Island. He also enjoyed assistant directing Nicholas Nickleby, Beauty & the Beast, Little Women and It's a Wonderful Life. He holds his BA in Theatre from Vanguard University and is a graduate of the UCLA MFA Acting program.

Sasha Stewart Miller
Sasha Stewart Miller earned her B.A. in Theatre and English from Vanguard University and her M.A. in English from National University. For Alethia, she has enjoyed directing Nicholas Nickleby, Beauty & the Beast, Little Women, and most recently, It's a Wonderful Life. She has also taught at The Arts and Learning Conservatory, and directed their productions of The Little Mermaid and Star Wars. She has been a member of the Torrance Theatre Company since 2009, and has directed their productions of Silent Sky, All My Sons, The Cripple of Inishmaan, and Coney Island Christmas. Other directing credits include: Grey Gardens (ACTC), Last Train to Nibroc and See Rock City (Little Fish Theater.) Her original short play, "Nectar," was a winner at the 2017 Northern Arizona Playwriting Showcase.

We will begin the season on February 25 with registration and an Audition Workshop,
Everyone who auditions will be cast.

Bring a 4x6 PHOTO of yourself
AUDITION REQUIREMENT: A memorized one-minute Shakespeare monologue of your choosing (in the original language) .. Comedic is preferred.
If you need a monologue you may use this one (click this sentence), though we encourage you to find your own. There is value in the process of searching for a Shakespeare monologue as well as the opportunity to find one you enjoy.
What to expect at Auditions:
This is a fun and exciting night for Alethia! Don't worry, auditions are only in front of directors and producers and they couldn't be more supportive!
You must be registered and paid in full before auditioning. It is likely there will be callbacks that night for the director to begin seeing how to cast the show! This is a fun time to work with other actors.
BRING: Dinner or snacks and plenty of water. Light snacks and water will be available for $1 each. A 4x6 photo of yourself.
Rehearsals: Mondays, 5:00-9:30pm and Saturdays: 4/13, 5/11, 5/18 - approximate time 9am-2pm
Holidays: No scheduled holidays this season
Actors must be available for all rehearsals three weeks before show dates and all show times. Excessive absences will be cause for dismissal from the show, with no refund.

Additional costs: Script (cost TBD), concession item, make-up (Ben Nye kit approx. $20), shoes, boys may need to shop for pants (for sizing purposes). Parents must volunteer, jobs to be determined after Parent Meeting. In addition, everyone helps with costumes and works 2 shows. No refunds after casting.
